megandgrace`s poll Show results | Hide results

Pregnancy-poll poll Did any of you experience low amniotic fluid levels towards the end of your pregnancy? With mine at about 35 weeks they noticed it was low, and i had to have ultrasounds every week until i went into labor, every week it kept getting lower and lower, at 37 1/2 weeks it was so low they had to induce me. I was just wondering if this was common at all or if it happened to you?

i had low fluid also. mine slowly went down from week 36 until week 40. by week 40 it was so low that it was 1 number from them having to induce and they wouldnt. i cried my eyes out b/c i was so scared to wait the 3 days to get it checked again and begged for them to induce me so i wouldnt be worrying if my daughter was getting enough. they were really rude and road it off that i was fine and i was overreacting. well, 2 days later i started leaking slowly and it was a blessing b/c they had to induce me!! when i gave birth and passed my placenta, it was all gray and dead. so my daughter was working with a dead placenta and i was sooooo pissed that they could have hurt my baby. they were going to let me wait until 42 weeks until they were going to induce me. i was fuming that they messed up. if i hadent gone into hospital i might have gone another week or two with a dead placenta. needless to say, i am giving them a peace of my mind at my 6 week appointment which is in a couple of weeks. and im switching drs after that. its actually a good thing that your fluid is low enough to get induced. good luck and you will be great!!

i had low amniotic fluid with my 1st pregnancy. I never had any bladder problems so i was alil concerned when i felt a small gush just sitting down. They checked and i was leaking slowly but surely. Happened just like 3 wks b4 i delivered.(3wks early) Your body replaces what is lost to a degree if you arent losing too much.
