I brought 2...a girl one and another one just in case it was a boy. Next time I will bring a couple different sizes. I brought newborn sizes and it swallowed her at 6lbs 12oz. I will bring a premie size next time.

Melanie Rae (109.4 days ago)
Both of my babies were over 9 lbs at birth so the going home outfits were too small or too tight in the chest. I would bring different sizes just to be on the safe side. The baby`s weight is never what the doctor says its going to be so just to be safe, I would bring 0-3 months and maybe a 3-6 month size.

But my daughter was only 6lbs 8 oz, kinda average yet on the smaller side so id say it depends on the expected weight although I think newborn size is def. Big enough for most newborns

With my first I brought an outfit for each day expected to be there and one extra for pictures, and I had newborn sizes but they were awfully big so this time I will have some preemie sizes for this baby

i plan to go home the once so 1 outfit should be fine. this is my 3rd and was in hospital for a week with my 1st and a day (over nite) with my secound so i have just finised packing my `baby bag` i have 5 vests 0-3mths 3 sleep suits 0-3mths 1 outfit-all-in-one with a t-shirt 0-3mths a hat cardigan botties and mittens and blanket oh and muslin squares!! so whilst in hopital theres no need for outfits as vest and sleepsuit is enough. hope this helps and good luck xx nai blue bump #3

with my 2nd pregnancy my little boy was huge!! he was born weighing almost 11 lbs and he didnt fit into the newborn outfit i had packed. My mom ended up having to run home to get him something bigger to wear. I will definately bring a newborn and a 0-3 month outfit this go round just in case....unless he comes earlier then i have a few premie outfits from my first son. Id bring one of those and a newborn in that case...

im bringing 2 one in premie, and one in newborn unless you are sure the baby is going to be huge, because even the thicker ones still cant fit in 0-3 month clothes yet

i had 4 because i didn`t know the gender or size. good thing i did because baby was 2 pounds lighter than anticipated.

im taking two outfits for going home it, in case one gets spit up on. and they are in size 0000 -aussie sizing

Well, you`re only coming home once - but it`s a good idea to have something extra in case of a messy diaper or spit-up. So, 2 is fine, and I`d say size 0-3 mos. and maybe a newborn size. My daughter was 6 lb 13oz at birth, and was tiny. She could fit in preemie clothes. But they grow SO fast at first, that you don`t want to buy preemies until unless necessary. I dressed her in newborn to come home in, but she could also wear 0-3 mos if I wanted her to.

  5. Some weird things have been happening today, and I`m afraid I`m just working myself up. First, I went potty this morning, and after I was done peeing, I had another small amount of liquid come out. Not sure if it was pee. Then, my c-sect incision from my last baby started hurting really bad. (I had the c-sect 10 mo`s ago, and I`m a little over 32 weeks now) However, the incision feels fine now. Should I go get checked out?
