alex76 (200.8 days ago)Hi, I had this in my 1st pregnancy, it means Occipito Posterior meaning the baby`s back is against your`s. Not to worry you, but what you need to do is try and get the baby to turn as OP presentation is what causes back labour. Try Spinning babies website for tips but try and crawl on all fours or stay in that position every morning and night for a little while. Also just remember to try and keep you`re knees below you`re pelvis when sitting, sit on a high back kitchen chair like you are straddling it. Most babies turn themselves before labour stars but if the baby stays OP labour will take longer, this is why I went over 10 days as she was stuck and her head wouldn`t come properly down. I didnt know until I was actually in labour and wished I`d known so I could have got her turned.
MALACHIsMOM (201 days ago)I googled it and found this. Usually in the occiput posterior position, or OP for short. This describes the baby`s position in relation to the pelvis. In the OP position the baby is facing up towards the mother`s pubic bone causing the harder part of their skull to rest on the bony part of mom`s spine.
lovefranky (201 days ago)your baby was facing up instead of down, it is harder to deliver, i had to have a c section because of that
