amidalamama1 (196.7 days ago)i don` agree on the co sleeping issue at all..buy a crib that lasts up until the toddler years and have the baby sleep there from day one..my baby is the best sleeper ever, she does not know it any different..thing i can`t live without are ..ergo carrier(and only that one),jumperoo, razzee teether, and an inflateable bathtub is worth the money too..it makes your life easier..skip all the bassinetts, crib bumpers and changintables..a changing pad on a dresser does it just as well..and resist the nesting..you can get a lot when she is born and than you will know what you want and need..good luck..if you can have a friend with babyexperience help you create a babyshower list..xoxo..t.
xcitedMOM (197.6 days ago)I think a must have is one of those C pillows. I think they are actually called boppy pillows or something like that, but they are shaped like a C. They are great for breast feeding and then for helping support the baby when he/she is learning to sit.
I rarely used my bouncy seat. My kids just didn`t want to sit in them very long. They liked the swing or floor better.
kater (198.2 days ago)dont forget there are people who`s job it is to figure out how to get you to give them your money. they are called advertising executives. there really isnt much out there now that you actually NEED, most stuff is just expensive luxury`s, so if you want to spend money on this stuff, do so, if you`d rather spend your money on stuff you know works, do that :)
MALACHIsMOM (198.3 days ago)I had/have a boppy. I really liked it for breastfeeding and teaching my son to sit up. I also liked the wipe warmer. It was a good night light and my son screamed murder with cold wipes.
summerisis (198.3 days ago)My daughter hates her swing and I opted out of all that other stuff. I`m her #1 interactive plaything, which is fine with me.
lisa-82 (198.5 days ago)my parents got me a bouncy-i used it while i was working from home but my son likes swings better.
KarenVG (198.6 days ago)Oh and crib bedding was a waste too as they really only need a blanket for the longest time. I used sleeping bags as they do not lose them in the night. They were worth the money
upchurchmomma (198.6 days ago)The wipes warmer dries the bottom quarter of the wipes out and they are too expensive to be throwing away. I just warmed the wipe up in my hand b4 i use it on them!
KarenVG (198.6 days ago)Most of the stuff out there is a rip off for shopperholics. Stick to what you know from before. Most things are just not necessary. Everything on the list os not necessary unless you are going camping, then the netting for the playyard is good. However, buy things as you see the need, and check out second hand deals you can get really great stuff, in good condition that way and save a whole bunch.
