I had it done for the first time 4 days ago (at 38 weeks) and i haven`t had any contractions yet.

i had a sweep done at 40 weeks and it did nothng, and i can say it was the most painful thing i had experienced (until i went into labour) i ended up having to be induced at 42 weeks :(

my dr did it in the afternoon and that nite i went in to labor and had my baby w/in 24hrs from my dr appt. but according to MY due date-he was born exactly 9mths to the day!!

I had it done twice starting at 38wks and another at 39wks. All it did for me was jump start some minor contractions. I ended up giving birth at 40wks5days.. so in my case, it didnt work for me. But, I know a girl that had it done and went into labor within 24hrs.
