GOD AWFUL Birth!! I was in labor for 25hrs and 33min. Was not given an EPI until my 20th hour!! I had all back labor, so it basically felt like I had been hit by a tractor-trailer and my back was broken. Sorry don`t mean to scare you but it was horrendous!

i had a GREAT labor. Hardly felt a thing. The EPI was awesome & i was lucky enough to be topped up before he entered the world. so 16hrs of labor & i was happy as can be! :)

i was in labour for three days and i took everything they offered me because it hurt so much but it was a complicated birth

worst pain ever felt and was 3 cm when i got epi...it saved my life...made childbirth a pleasant experience..without it, it probably would have been torture.:)

First birth 10 easy, she was back to back and stuck. Second was about a 3

I love it when people say it`s not a `horrible` pain...ugh yes it is! My 2nd son I had no epideral and he was sunnyside up, I was screaming for them to give me a c-section and just get him out because I couldn`t take the pain. I was crying like a mad woman and couldn`t breath and when I pushed the doctor had to stick both his hands in me and help pull him out because he was worried because I was showing signs of going into shock.

mine hurt like hell but it wasnt as bad as wat every1 has told me it would have been so id say about a 6

i think the more relaxed and focosed u are the more u would beable to cope. i had 2 great labours without pain relife and i would rate the pain about a 3 or 4.

I only had true pain with my 3rd as I had SPD that affected my whole pelvis. If felt like my pelvis was being crushed. I was at my wits end. The contractions of labour itself were `fine`. With the other 3 labours it`s been painful but not beyond me. Like HippyChick says, one thing every woman has in common who experiences little or even no pain (some have birth orgasms!) is their attitude toward the birth. Pain isn`t just a physical experience. Get had of Grantly Dick-Read`s `Childbirth Without Fear` if you can. It`s a light in a dark place.

I voted 10 for my second daughter but with my first I would say it was about a 6 or 7. I wonder what this one will be.
