Landons Mommy!! (91.6 days ago)
my daughter had problems for about three months, back and forth. some days she was perfect and others she would cry and say she didnt want to be a `big girl` anymmore and would have accidents all day. we just kept encouraging her and clapping everytime she went potty. we made it a huge deal everytime and let her pick out a sticker when she went. we went back and forth for what seemed like forever!! but seriously, one day it just clicked and we havent looked back!! good luck!! oh yeah, she is almost three now, if you were wondering about her age.

I potty trained my son at three. I waited for him to be ready and not when `I` was ready. It worked out for the best. As he is 8 now and never had one accident in the daytime or at night.

i started 2 train my son at 1 1/2 and he 2 went back and forth, i was talking 2 a friend 1 day and she said if they do that then it means they are not ready yet so i left it a year and started again. i had him out of dipers during the day in a week and he never had any accidents. he is 3 now and this week i have started him without dipers at night time and so far so good xx good luck with the potty training x

Yes completely normal ~ all three of my kids did it til at least 4 years old. When they are older they tend to hold it longer to play etc and dont want to miss out on things then cant make it fast enough and have an accident and as far as night time my kids wore pulls up til 4 plus ~ drinks at night have to be limited. And it is important to know that potty training is also about parent training. Dont wait til they say they have to go, make them go every couple hours if they havent gone, even if they say they dont have to go or everytime they go somewhere or always before going outside ~ it helps to limit accidents and emergency stops if potty is always part of the routine every other hour whether they want it or not ~ if my kids go out or any where the potty is the first place to stop and that is still a rule with my 8 & 12 year old, lol.

I`ve heard a lot of parents say this about their children. It`s normal - unfortunately. My daughter just turned 3 and I`ve been potty training her for over a year! She started out for a long time real slow with the process, so I didn`t push it on her. She would do real good for a while, then she wouldn`t go at all. Then when I signed her up in April for part-time preschool for Sept., I began working pretty hard with her. Now she is wearing panties all the time, except when sleeping (even though she does keep a dry diaper/pullup when sleeping usually too.) We are having trouble getting her to poop in the potty though - which she only does about every other day or so, so it`s hard to predict. I`m afraid she`ll regress when the baby gets here in a few weeks! I hope not!!! Good luck with your kiddo!

  1. who else is glad the Holly28 and Kevinsmilf have entertained us all so well with their many thought provoking polls?
  2. Hunter has begun banging his head on the wall and floor when he is mad. Some kids do this with austim and some do this without austim, for those who had a child who did this what did you do to stop it? What did doc say? Did they hurt themselves? Hunter bangs hard and I`m worried he will hurt his head. I know if they fall the head is pretty resiliant and they usually do ok but when you bang over and over that concerns me ~ (Hunter has therapy for dyspraxia, not sure if he is autistic or not.) Docs l looking into it when he is older.
  3. I have never ever seen Mistletoe (so obviously we dont use it for a decoration) Do you use mistletoe?
  4. By 10 months old, should a baby be saying something on a regular basis? My godson said dada a few months ago, but his parents said he hasn`t said anything since. He makes a lot of noises and whines, but no talking.

  5. Showing off the kids :) Hunter is 4, Hudson is 10 months and kept walking away so his big brother had to hold him back! lol

  9. My symptoms this pregnancy (#2) seem so much different/stronger than with my 1st. I`m curious if there is a link to gender. For those of you who have experienced this...
  10. Hey ladies, I need some input. I live in FL and work for the state, unfortunately the agency that I work for is closing down our facility but it will not be closed until 06/10. I will be on maternity leave when they do the next round of layoffs in Feb. Does my maternity leave `protect` me in some way from that layoff, or can they still lay me off?
