I Like Jesse and LOVE James. Would really dislike the two said together in everyday use though, it would sound corny and the association with THE Jesse James is all bad, bad, bad. But to be known as Jesse something is lovely and James as a middle, not coupled with Jesse much beyond the birth certificate would be great too.

My husband`s cousin named his little boy Jesse James and I HATE IT! They call him `Jesse James` not just `Jesse` and I think it`s so retarded. It drives me nuts!
