BoyStruckX2 (1307.6 days ago) I AM USING THE PLAYTEX DROP INS AND I HAVE ONLY FOUND TWO STAGES. SLOW AND FAST...I CANT FIND A MEDIUM?
lisa-82 (1308 days ago) i use the fast flow ones when i put cereal in his bottle since it makes the formula thicker...and still use the slow ones w/ just formula when he has stage 1 food w/ it....and i didnt start the cereal in his formula til he was bout 3-1/2mths.
RobinG (1308 days ago) Depends on baby and brand. My son went to a stage 2 Dr. Browns at 2 weeks, a stage 3 at 8 months. Avent stage 2`s are like Dr. Browns stage 3`s. Babies who are ready for the next stage will often be hungry again soon after eating. They stopped eating because their mouth got tired even though they were still hungry or will refuse the nipple because sucking hurts to suck so hard ~
mamacakes (1308.1 days ago) It depends on the baby. When they have to suck too hard to get food just as fast then its time to move up to the next nipple. Generally they will start fussing during feedings cause they arent getting it fast enough.
alex76 (1308.2 days ago) I use Avent bottles but my son has changed through the teats faster than recommended. He used to fall asleep with the newborn teats as he would tire himself sucking. I asked our Midwife and she advised trying the next size up and it worked, he took all his bottle and slept longer afterwards. You`ll know its right if they are not spilling the milk out the sides of their mouth.
