exersaucers have bottoms and they do not move (doesnt alow baby to move just play with stuff around them, like little toys attached etc) walkers allow babies to move around.

the issue with walkers it that a baby is great at finding stairs but so long as you use a baby gate around stairs they are great. also they worry about the baby running over it`s feet but so long as you don`t have the seat positioned to low they can`t run over there feet. I used it with both of my kids. they sell them at walmart target, babiesRus, etc. as stated before, an exersuaser is stationary. I don`t like them as much because they don`t work as well for teaching the baby to be mobile.

BTW Walkers are still made. I bought one at Babies r Us recently.

Walkers are only dangerous if obvious safety concerns are not observed, and if parents do not watch their kids in them. It is a shame if Canada bans them when anything can cause injuries if not properly used.

Exersaucer is mainly stationary and doesnt have wheels. The walker have wheels and can be dangerous, They are actually banded in Canada because to many kids got hurt.

walkers have wheels and they can `walk` around. Saucers have like a round `saucer` on the bottom, they can`t move along the floor but they are great!

Exersaucers are great, they still get leg strength and yet they are in one place!!!!

steenibambini (85.3 days ago)
These women are all correct. I don`t think they make walkers anymore because there were too many accidents of children falling down stairs in them. You can probably find one at a garage sale though.

Walkers they can actually get around places, exersaucers have toys on them and the seat will go in a circle and they can jump in it.

A walker allows the baby to walk.....an exersaucer does not...the baby is stationary. Both have attached toys and a tray etc. Just that one allows the baby to be mobile and the other not....

walker is what the baby walks in and a exersaucer is simular but they bounce instead and they have lots of play things on it.
