I would certainly ask for help. You need to make sure you have coverage for you and your baby. And you don`t want to have to go into debt either. They have these programs for these reasons. It is sometimes hard because you don`t want to be stereotyped. But you have to do what is best for you and the baby.

Do what`s best for you. I applied for Medicaid and was approved. I`m now 5 1\2 months and was able to find another job. Its all up to you if you want the hassle of going through the system or trying to work. I really as though social service tried to compare me with the usuals that apply, unexpected things do happen. I worked in corporate America and jobs aren`t stable. So I had to get assistance.

That is what it is there for. If you need it to help till you can get back on your feet, do it. There are people who take advantage of the system and live off of it, not intending of working. We live off of one income (four of us, soon to be five) I did apply for wic. I will use it until my hubby can get overtime again. Then we will get off of it. Do what you need to.

I would say yes.. why not. Im also on medicaid since we cant afford insurance. My husband was working and still is working for the same company but they are low on work and hes been laid off for awhile now. So the assistance helps alot. He was able to apply for unemployment until work picks up. Well I hope things work out for you and your fiance.

to clarify.. I wasn`t a real estate attorney.. I worked for one as his paralegal. Just realized that I wrote that wrong lol. And for your info I applied for medicaid for pregnant woman and was approved. It was to expensive to get insurance by myself and getting insurance under my husband`s company because pregnancy is `pre-existing`...

I have also been unable to find a job. My husband is still working but it is hard on one income. I used to be a paralegal before being laid off (was a real estate attorney) but have been unable to find another job in that field because the town I work in is smaller and everyone in the legal field knows that I am pregnant because people at my last job told them. I mean their reasons are good they don`t want to hire someone who will be leaving in a few months but it makes it difficult.. I def. understand your pain.
