Pregnancy-poll poll Did anyone else get carpal tunnel syndrome while pregnant? If so, how did you deal with the pain, numbness, tingling? Any advice for relieving the symptoms so I can get some sleep?
(Pregnancy poll by MSUSpartan, 133 days ago)

I had it terribly in my left hand. Nothing helped. It went away immediately after I delivered

I was semi diagnoised with CTS before my pregnancy and now I sometimes get spasms during the day...I have a brace the I wear while sleeping...It helps very much

I got it in both of my hands at one point it just hurt so bad and I could see the main nerve in my hand bulge out. That is the only thing that`s swollen up on me during this pregnancy was that nerve and I`m 36 weeks now. What I did was soak my hand in really warm water and epsom salt.I tried ice on my hands in a zip lock bag but it just hurt more for me. I purchased two wrist braces from the drug store and would wear them all day and night on both wrists. I did this for maybe 3-4 days and then just slept with them on at night once the pain subsided. I also ate some fresh pineapples I cut up, because I read they help with inflammation.(not the canned ones) I`m doing great now but I know you can possibly get it back for a little bit after you deliver. Everyone is different, some may get it some may not. Some may get it immediately after delivery, if they do and some nearly a month afterward it just depends on your body. :-)

I had it from like 15 weeks on. I got arm braces from the local drug store that helped. Also propping my WRISTS up on pillows when I slept helped. Mine got a little worse after he was born and I really used the braces then. My wrist would almost just give out when I went to pick him up.

I was diagnosed with it just 2-3 wks ago. (I`m 38 wks pregnant.) He suggested I try braces - especially at night. However, I haven`t bought them yet and probably won`t since I`m so close to delivery now. He said it should completely go away by the time I`m 6 wks postpartum or less.

  1. who else is glad the Holly28 and Kevinsmilf have entertained us all so well with their many thought provoking polls?
  2. Hunter has begun banging his head on the wall and floor when he is mad. Some kids do this with austim and some do this without austim, for those who had a child who did this what did you do to stop it? What did doc say? Did they hurt themselves? Hunter bangs hard and I`m worried he will hurt his head. I know if they fall the head is pretty resiliant and they usually do ok but when you bang over and over that concerns me ~ (Hunter has therapy for dyspraxia, not sure if he is autistic or not.) Docs l looking into it when he is older.
  3. I have never ever seen Mistletoe (so obviously we dont use it for a decoration) Do you use mistletoe?
  4. By 10 months old, should a baby be saying something on a regular basis? My godson said dada a few months ago, but his parents said he hasn`t said anything since. He makes a lot of noises and whines, but no talking.

  5. Showing off the kids :) Hunter is 4, Hudson is 10 months and kept walking away so his big brother had to hold him back! lol

  8. Does your LO fight sleep..if so for how long on average
  9. My symptoms this pregnancy (#2) seem so much different/stronger than with my 1st. I`m curious if there is a link to gender. For those of you who have experienced this...
  10. Hey ladies, I need some input. I live in FL and work for the state, unfortunately the agency that I work for is closing down our facility but it will not be closed until 06/10. I will be on maternity leave when they do the next round of layoffs in Feb. Does my maternity leave `protect` me in some way from that layoff, or can they still lay me off?
