lol my son was watching a dvd in my bedroom yesterday, about a hour into his flim it was his bed time so i went to get him only to find that he had raided my nail polish and had bright red finger and toe nails. i couldn`t stop laughing at him even though i was a bit mad as it was all over my bed covers 2. i did ask him y he did it and he said i wanted to look like me. their has been a few times when he has played with my make up, shoes. he even had his sisters fairy wings on a few times. i think its ok 4 them to do this it don`t mean anything to them at that age. they are just playing

thanks so much..

actually to discourage it can cause psychological problems down the road. It is a perfectly normal part of child development.

My little boy likes to carry around my purse or (I babysit girls) he likes to play with their purses and necklaces.. He loves pushing the pretend baby buggy.. I play with him..he will pick up hair ties and put them on his head.. put on my and dad`s shoes.. He just wants to be like mom and dad

Not a problem at all!!! totally normal :) Its pretend and dress up ~ tots dont care boy girl stuff till much later ~ my boys did the make up wore dress up clothes, had barbies, baby dolls grocery carts, strollers etc etc. :)

It is just role play, they see mommy do it and they want to do it. My nephew is 2 and tries to walk in heels, carry purses, wear makeup, fix his hair. His sisters have to fight to keep their clothes. I definately would not discourage it, it is a phase and it should pass with time.

Not even an issue....my 2 year old son does it too! My husbands a big buff Marine so it kinda weirded him out in the begining but now he jsut laughs.

my 2yr old does that all the time i also think he may grow up 2 have a ladys shoe fetish or something because hes constantly trotting around in my shoes!! i think they all do it because my oldest (5yrs) had a thing about hand bags and dollys! lol

  1. I was told to put the car seat in the car a few weeks before my actual due date...did you do this?? and if so how early?
  2. Have any of you had to take a pill called Cytotec if you were induced? My doctor is inducing me Monday but he uses that instead of Pitocin, but I haven`t read anything good about it online! Do any of you have any experiences with it?
  3. My daughter is 4 mo. today and sometimes when shes on her tummy she makes a horrible gaging sound should I be concerned?
  4. Recently I made a poll about having your baby on your birthday if you could. Well, I went to the doctor and he is inducing me on Monday which is my birthday. I told the nurse that I didn`t want him on my birthday, and when the doctor came in she told him that but then I hurried up and changed my mind because he is kind of strict and I just simply said no it`s okay and the doctor said well you can celebrate two birthdays. I dunno, I am just having mixed feelings on it. It will be special he is born on my birthday but like some said in my other poll he will want his own day when he gets older. What do you think?
  5. Let`s be real here: when did you first do `it` again after giving birth? :o)

  10. my husband and I like the name Shiloh for a girl, we may spell it shyloh. However, many people associate it to angelina jolie`s little girl... My mind doesnt even go there. Do you associate it with the jolie-Pitt kid???
