Pregnancy-poll poll Would you choose induction if you were just a week before your due date?
(Pregnancy poll by tiredmommy, 125 days ago)
Yes...The last couple of weeks drag on so slow.
No...The baby will come when ready. I should wait.
Maybe...It depends on the circumstance.

I wouldnt allow them to induce me unless I was very overdue. I was induced with my son and it was a nightmare. I was induced at 8pm on Tuesday, had water broken later on and the whole thing. Never progressed past 5CM and had to have a c-section around midnight Wednesday. The contractions are much worse. It was aweful. Babies have been coming out of vaginas for thousands of years. Yours will come out when its ready.

It depends. My second i chose to induce a week early because I had gestational diabetes and it was getting out of control. She was already 8 pounds and they gain a lot of their weight the last week and I didn;t want to give birth to any bigger of a baby. She came out beautiful and lovely, her skin was a bit redder. I called her my little christmas ball. but i dont know if that was because she was born early or not. With my first i was induced because my water broke before contractions. The pitocin is strong so if you do it, dont rule out an epidural

i would love to say no. because baby should stay until until ready to come out. but really i think if it were offered to me i would do it in a heartbeat. im soooo uncomfortable this pregnancy!

Oh girl,my due date is a day before yours. I would give anything to be offered an induction at this point. As I am sure you know from your own experience I don`t sleep, I am constantly uncomfortable, I can hardly walk from the pressure of her being engaged and I am in CONSTANT pain....take it! That`s my advice.

I don`t have any complications, but every discomfort possible. I`m slowly progressing, but am so tired of it by now! This is my second baby. I had to be induced the first time b/c my water broke before labor began, so I know it is painful. However, I like being able to plan things. Right now, induction makes a lot more since for many reasons to us than waiting. My doctor has offered me the choice, and I think I`m all for it now. What do you think?

  3. does anyone have any tips on how to get a 4 month old baby to STAY asleep at night. we have a great bedtime routine, and ge is put into bed awake, and goes to sleep himself no problems, only he still wakes twice a night and wants to be fed. he is in the 95th percentile for hieght and weight, so i know he is old enough not to need that feed for nutrition anymore. i have tried cuddling him(instead of feeding) and patting him without picking him up, but he just crys to be fed. i dont like the CIO method. thanks
