Swab you with a culture. I am + the dr. says once postive + always +. Nothing to be scared about. But when they give you antibotics in your IV it burns like a MF for a few mins. Thats normal though. Thought I would be honest and tell you that. You are in pain so whats a little burning..LOL

They do it at around 32-34 weeks I believe. They just take a swab from inside your vaginal area. Mine actually came back positive...it is pretty scarey. I had to have doses of an antibiotic while in labour with my 1st child...and I will contuine to have it for every child.

they take a big ol` q-tip and just swab at your vaginal and rectal area. that`s it.
