A friend of mine did a surfer theme. It turned out very cute.

For my boy I did really simple baby blue paint on the walls and used those wall stickers to decorate round his bed - they are of grass, mushrooms, caterpillars, butterflys - so it could be good fr boy or girl. The rest of the room is some ppaintings my nana and mom have painted from when I was little.

I did a nautical sailor theme for my son. If we didnt choose that, we were going to do a rainforest theme. But it really came down to what color we wanted to paint, and we chose blues over green...so think about that if you were planning on painting:)

i love jungle themes. you can even have 2 paint colors on your wall that go with your theme to make the room more unique. make 1/2 of the wall one color and the other 1/2 the other color. go from one corner to the other like a diagonal line. it looks cool. i did a girly jungle theme with pastel animals and am painting a zebra on the wall that matches the theme. we also have the room painted green and pink.

With my son I just stuck to two colors. I did Blue and Green. Then he had Diego. Now he has to share with the new baby, a girl, and I have left his bed w/ Diego, but put up pictures of animals, my daughter will get blue/green blankets. I might put up some Dorra stuff. If I had another boy and a seperate nursery I would do some of those that are like cirlse and swirls with black, white and green. Or Brown/Blue. I don`t care much for the themes.

Personally, I didn`t want to go too boyish (fire trucks, tractors, completely blue, etc.) I thought about using Pooh because I like Pooh a lot. But then I saw Alphabet Soup by CoCaLo baby and I love it! It has lots of colors and textures and some really cute animals. Check it out at babiesrus.com or babysupermall.com. I am going to paint the walls a light yellow color. It could actually be used for boys or girls...

  1. do you think its possible to spoil a baby by holding them too much? (hes 4 months)
  2. Names Name Names!! :)
  3. Is it safe to continue to wrap with ARMS OUT?
  4. My daughter who is 4 months next week wasnt sleeping well at all as we were wrapping her with her arms out so about 2 weeks ago I tried wrapping her with her arms in to stop her rubbing her eyes and thrashing about. It amazed us as now she goes to sleep in about 5mins compared with about 40mins. I have recently been told that it is not safe to have her wrapped this way after 4months. I have tried unwrapping her arms and the screaming match starts all over again. What should I be doing? Feel free to comment :-)
  5. I was hoping I could get some ideas from people that have had post natal depression on how a freind can be supportive. My friend has PND and I know a lot about the illness but I would really like to hear from anyone that has been in my friends situation and what really helped. Please comment as I want to be their for her.

  6. I am 24 weeks with my 2nd Girl! Am I too big? Doctor says I have gained too much! 20 lbs. so far... What do you think?
  7. How would you go about telling someone you didn`t want them in the room when you were in labor (not actually having the baby, just in labor)??? With my son, all kinds of people were in & out of the room.... there are some people I just DO NOT want in there!!! I hate to be rude, but... It`s kind of a `special` time, and I don`t want people I do not like, there for it....
  8. If you were induced with your 1st, did you have to be induced with your 2nd, or did you go into labor on your own????
  9. I think my daugher has colic. She screams and screams for hours on end most nights. Sometimes I get so frustrated and overhwelmed. Then, I feel horribly guilty for feeling this way. Do you feel like a bad mom when you lose patience with your child?
  10. I`v been feeling kinda sad because my pregnancy is over. Its not because I miss the being pregnant part its because all the waiting, wonder and mistery is over.Did anyone else feel like this?
