zet (1279.2 days ago) Hi funny thing is im in the same boat. Our initials are EW - my son was not intentionally made EW - we just liked the name Ethan. Then my daughter came along and was a huge surprise - due to the fact that it took us 3 years to conceive our son. We gave her the same initials - so that she does not feel out and believing we will not have anymore children. BUT GUESS WHAT - 3 years later and im pregnant with nr 3 - what do i do now. The inlaws already said not another EW - but i cannot think of a family of 4 EW and only one odd one out.
Good luck with your decision
pregosharpe (1279.8 days ago) Personally I think the 2nd child is going to kind of feel left out a little later in life like when they go to school and start learning how to spell their families names and learn what initials mean. They might feel like the `odd man out` because everyone else in the family has AN initials and they don`t even have an A initial.
But you should name your baby what you want, so as long as you have a good reason to tell them when they ask then you will be fine.
lisa-82 (1279.8 days ago) i would do an A name since you have already done your daughter w/ the same initial as you and your husband. i gave my son the same first and middle initial as his dad.
tawnsawyer (1279.9 days ago) Haha (are you going to have more children?) Because this is a true story about a friend I know, his name is Nathan and he has always hated that his older sister, Abby and younger brother, Adam had `A` names, and he had an `N` name... lol I don`t know why, it doesn`t really seem like a big deal to me but I guess if you have like 3 kids, don`t give 2 of them A names and leave the 1 out! :) If I were you, I`d give all my kids different initials.
