danicamichelle (88 days ago)i know some creative people who had boring names like stacey or crystal or jennifer and changed them when they were in college to prahna, pheonix, and lola.

DeleteLizakn (93.6 days ago) I think that having a unique or different name does make you stand out a bit. But it doesn`t mean that just because you have a unique name, then you will be unique....
I do think it makes people remember you more as well. My name is `Liza`...growing up I was the only `Liza` in my school & town. And I loved that! Everyone always remembered my name because it was so different from everyone elses!...my sisters name is `Ashley` {VERY common name} and nobody ever remembered what her name was.
I do know people that are VERY unique & have a VERY common name...and they hate it!!! Because they are so unique they wish that they had unique names...but on the other hand I know some people that have really `far out there names` & hate it because they are so different. It really just depends on if you raise your child to be unique & creative..and the personality your child has that makes them unique!...but having a `cool` name does help sometims.

Deleteemy (94.3 days ago)I think a name depicts the creativity of the parents, not how unique their child will be. Naming my child was a very important event for me. It took a lot of time and thought. We picked a name that was different, seldom ever heard, but there is nothing wrong with common names either. As a child there were 3 Erica`s in my class one year. I hated it! I could care a less now but at the age of 8...I became the red head erica in the class. LOL. I swore that my child would never have to endure that...and I hope he won`t

Deletemdbabyno1 (94.3 days ago)I think a unique name just makes you stand out on a piece of paper. Every child is born with their own personality. A name can`t change that.

Deleteshally (94.3 days ago)I have a unique name...not many here in Utah with my name and i don`t think i stood out or anything-i was a shy child. So i would say that it is the childs personality that makes them stand out.

DeleteMelissaJoanne (94.4 days ago)Agree with CassandraLee. I do think that a unique name can stand out more, but the name itself doesn`t make you creative. I`ve known both unique, gorgeous, artistic girls named Jane, as well as typical `plain` Janes. My name is ridiculously common for the year I was born, but I`m not necessarily just like every other Melissa. My daughter will have an uncommon name, but the fact that my husband and I covet the arts and creativity will have more of an effect on how creative our children are, not the name.

DeletenotPMSimjusCRZY (94.4 days ago)i think having a less common name can add to their overall `uniqueness` but yes, most of it depends on the PERSON.

DeleteCassandraLee (94.4 days ago)I dont think a name makes you unique at all. Its in WHO you are. I know alot of people who are `unique` but have fairly common names and vise versa. Same with beautiful names. Ive known women with beautiful or exotic sounding names and they were not attractive women.
