minmoo (92.5 days ago)It is always best to try and have the baby natural. In a typical birth the worst pain should be when the baby is coming out or just about to come. But if it is not working out like a Hollywood movie, i would keep and open mind to having an epidural. I am not sure about the other meds, i never had them.
vero3 (92.8 days ago)With my first I had gotten I think stadol to help me sleep. No pain relief at all. It made me feel drunk and confused With my second I went into labor at about 6 am and I kept saying no to an epidural I was gonna do it all natural, yeah right at about 1130 am could not take it so I asked for one. Let me tell you it was great I watched All My Children then One Life to Live with no pain at all. When the Dr came in he checked me and said you are ready. I said ready for what? But the pain was so different with both my pregnancies , the pain with my first was minimal compared to my second. Well good luck to you, I plan with this one to have an epidural if necessary. Oh and I walked fine after I delivered and was able to push out all 7lbs 11oz daughter with no problem.
kater (94.1 days ago)with both births i wanted to have a medication free birth, but my first was posterior, and after 19 hours i asked for gas, then after 22 hours i asked for pethidine, than after 26 hours i finally had the epidural.
for my second birth, i really badly wanted to go natural again, my baby was facing the right way this time, thank goodness, and i did it, and i can say, experiencing both, i would go natural again every time!! i was on a natural high for about 3 weeks postpartum second time around, i was so proud that i had worked my butt off to bring my son into the world! i felt so in tune with my body, the pain is bad, yes, but its positive pain, its not there to tell you to get out of danger, like normal pain, its pain to tell you you are about to meet your baby!! so many women think they couldnt possible do it, but i feel they dont give their bodies enough credit. we women were made for having babies, its what we were designed to do. birth shouldnt be seen as a medical experience, its so much more fulfilling if its experienced as a natural process we were designed to do :)
*HAVING~a~PRINCESS* (94.2 days ago)I haven`t had a child yet,but I`m planning on getting the epidural of course.
