I feed my 3 week old every 1-3hrs on demand. During the evening lately she has been feeding for a half hour then another half hour later wanting to eat again....damn cluster feeding!

My son is 5 months...eats every three hours during the day, but sleeps through the night.

grace is now 8 months old and she is nursing about every 3 to 4 hours during the day and sleeps through the night most nights. lately she will wake during the night at about 4 to nurse, then 8 am to nurse, 9:30 a fruit and cereal, noon she will nurse, 4 pm she will nurse, 6 pm a veggie and cereal, between 8 pm and 10 pm she will nurse again before bed. but that is only an generalized scedule, it does change daily with her needs, so basically it is mostly on demand but i try to stick to that routine!

my daughter is 11 mths i still feed her on demand she feeds about 4 times a day and once or twice at night. she does feed alot though coz she won`t eat any soilds yet.

i also did it on demand, but only until he was 8 months and now he is almost 10 months and i`m still trying to wean him to only bottles. he is a biter and he is a big boy and he needs lots of milk and food now, i only nurse him somtimes

There is a vast difference between breastfeeding with one baby and breastfeeding with other children in the home....I was all Earth Mother with #1 and crying when I had #2 because the poor kid couldn`t eat in peace.

My son is 2 months older than yours (05.20)...I was on-demand at first...but I have other kids to worry about and can`t exactly walk around with a breast out all day long (which is what it would have amounted too as he`s a nibbler and a snacker). It turned into only morning and bedtime (and through the night of course--how else would I get sleep?!) and nap time only--but that was still 4 times a day. Now, I`ve had him eating cereal for the past 3 weeks....and I still do the morning and nighttime routine, plus once before his naptime.

I breast fed on command. My last one was a hungry girl. I stopped breastfeeding a couple of months ago when i found out i was prego, she was about 16 months old.

my baby is 6 weeks, and hes feeding every 2 hours during the day and 3 during the night. he was going 3-4 hours during the day and 4-5 during the night, and a few days ago cluster fed, so i assumed he was having a growth spurt, but he doesnt seem to have settled into his old pattern.

In the beginning every 2 hours especially in the mornings then during the day it would stretch to every 3-4 hours sometimes 5 hours. Eventually get them to do the 5hr stretch from 12 till 5 at night and get a good sleep then. It gets better with time

My boy is 6 weeks old and he eats approx. 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hours. Sometimes more!
