i had the base in 6 weeks before so i could just clip the seat on ..and put the actual seat in 4 weeks before x

we had ours installed about 3 wks before delivery...! that was really too close (tho we made it before birth) imo, so i would recommend 5-6 weeks before your due date.

im 32+3 today and im planning on putting mine in before 34 weeks. u just never know.

I saw no reason to install it prior to delivery ~ course try it once or twice prior to deliverying but to have it in and leave it there wasnt necessary ~ It only takes a couple minutes to lock in the base and hubby can do it just fine the morning he comes to pick me up ~ he did that with all three :) Never had a problem with it being in wrong ~

we just got ours in by UPS and we`re getting ready to put it in the car. Im due in 5 weeks and 1 day.

I think I was 36 weeks - it kind of felt like a good idea as the baby could come at any time and I wanted it to be all ready to go. It was exciting to see it in there every time I got in my car!

I put the base in the car but not the actual car seat.

hahah i BARELY got by w/ putting mine in my car b/c i got my carseat the weekend before i had my baby!!! and put it in right away!! GOOD THING!!!!

If you have never used a car seat before, then put it in early. I gave birth at 36 weeks and I was really glad I didn`t have to fool with it all sore and wanting to go home. I say, no later then 36 weeks. PLUS, IT IS FUN TO SEE IT IN THERE!

I would suggest to do so... I went into labor at36 weeks and 6 days.. Luckily I had my bags packed and I was ready to go, however, we just threw the carseat in the car and said we would figure it out. So leaving the hospital I was there for like 10 min making sure everything was just right... My husband does not understand those things:) hehe. So I would suggest to put I in before hand so you don`t have to struggle with it, when you don`t want to..

We didnt put ours in the car before. Hubby just gets it when he goes home to take a shower. We plan to do the same again.

First time we put the seat in the car was coming home from the hospital. Over here they don`t check your car seat... they say goodbye at the maternity ward and leave you to go home as you like.. it that in the states that they check?

I think we put it in like a week before, however we live less then 20 mins from the hospital, so hubby went home for showers and sleep, so it can be put in after you are in the hospital, and if you need help there are ptople at the hospital that will help you install it, they can be tricky the very first time

Yes, I had mine in atleast 3 weeks prior to my due date. If you go early and dont have a car seat properly installed for your baby the hospital can stop you from leaving the hospital with your baby. Have the car seat put in as soon as you purchase/receive it.

I had my husband put the base in 2 wks before in case I went into labor (he works out of town every other week) The seat itself was kinda weird in there without a baby in it! lol
