Definitely sounds like thrush. My nephew got it. It doesn`t always bother them. The irritation can come and go but it usually bothers them the most when they try to eat.

My daughter had that once. They gave her some type of blue dye,which you rub in their mouth.

My 12 week old has thrush, she is using a prescribed medication as I am not breastfeeding any longer. It is cherry flavored but has to be given four times a day, she doesn`t like it but it gets rid of the irritation and she is fine after about 30 secs.

Very well could be. Are you breastfeeding? If so, start eating live-culture plain yogurt. Thrush is a candida infection (yeast) and the yogurt is great for it. Also, the baby can pass the infection to your nipples if you`re breastfeeding. If that happens, you can actually use the yogurt topically and it will clear right up. This is the voice of experience! :-P Been there, done that!!!
