I think that if you have someone you can trust it`s when every you feel comfortable. My husband surprised me for our wedding anniversary and Hailey was only 2 months, he got us a hotel room for the night. She was already sleeping through the night and she was with my mom who of course I completely trust. I was already back to work to so i leave her for 9 hrs during the day so leaving her when she/I am asleep isn`t nearly as hard. You have to remember to take time for your self and you and your partners relationship. It is extremely important. If you have someone you can trust then you should, the baby will not know the difference and you NEED alone time with your partner. Also I did the same with my first he is 5 now, he and I have an excellent relationship. I wouldn`t do it all the time, but again everyone NEEDS alone grown up time, but some people think it`s wrong, but to me the kid`s sleeping anyway and is left with someone you trust, where as when i`m at work she`s at a home daycare all day! (oh and I always go and get her first thing in the a.m.) She has only slept over night 2x with my Mom so my hubby and I could have some time and do something fun!! so worth it! But my son has a diff. father and he goes to his house every other weekend, but it`s his dad`s house, so i have no worried there, and no choice/court ordered! LOL

My daughter is 18 months and we still haven`t left her overnight with someone. Not that we`re afraid to, we just haven`t needed to. We like to do family trips. Plus with our second coming by c-section this friday, I don`t have the energy for a trip!

My daughter was 33 months. I left her with my MIL to have my 2nd baby. She was brought to us the next afternoon to stay with us in the hospital.

my son is 9 months old and hasnt stayed overnite with anyone... my MIL (mother in law) keeps bringing it up but I am not ready to have him away from me all nite long... I have a hard time with Ean sleeping in the pack and play at nite, he usually sleeps in bed with me and DH.

I didn`t leave mine until at the youngest almost 2 and it was with my mom so my husband and I could get a hotel room after he returned from a deployment. Whenever he has leave or gets back from a deployment my mom always takes the kids for the night. Other than that I haven`t left them with any one else except for my sister when my son was 3 so I could deliver my next.

My son is 13 months old and I`ve never left him with someone else. No immediate plans to either.
