I do watch the dr. phil show sometimes when the topic interests me, however there have been some shows where I really question his ethics. As a professional trained in counselling...some of the things he does and the advice he gives is very unethical!!

I watch his show if the subject sounds interesting. But I have to tell you the truth...I have learned alot watching certain shows. He did a show about `Mom-Zillas`{mothers that what their children to be perfect, look beautiful,be succesful}....and I totally saw myself in all those women {as bad as that sounds} but that show really helped me to see that my daughter is perfect no matter how many Beauty Pagents or Photo Contests she wins. So I do Thank Dr.Phil for that show!!

I cant stand the man anymore- he became a pompus arrogant blow hard over the years.. When he first got famous he was exactly what people wanted. He was a `people person` with his southern accent and in your face kinda guy- Hollywood got the best of him and now he is just an ass.

I guess my opinion could go a couple of different ways. It really depends on the subject of the show. Sometimes I`m glued to the t.v., other times I am thinking to myself `why did they even air this?`

I turn on Dr. Phil everyday and then decide if I`ll watch or not. He has definitely turned to the path of getting better ratings over truly trying to play the role of a Dr. who helps. Case in point, when those teenage girls were fighting in FL somewhere and were being arrested and tried as adults, Dr. Phil`s cronies (producers) were on-site and involved with one of the girls being released from jail (it made the news here) and they also told the reporters that they owned the rights to the story so the girl wouldn`t comment. Um, hello? Freedom of speach, the `rights to this story?!` No. I also wrote into the show a while back for my sisters teenage daughter who was having some problems, looking obviously for his guidance for their family. Well, it turned into the producers calling my house almost daily (sometimes several times a day), asking for everyone`s phone number they could get. Her best friends cell phone numbers, my mother (her grandmother) and my sister`s in-laws - it was more like they were trying to dig up gossip and dirt than wanting to get to the bottom of what was going on with her. She was asked to be on the show, (and at 17, she wanted to be because she`s a little pre-madonna who loves attention) but we all decided after the countless phone calls and digging of dirt, it probably wouldn`t be in her best interest. ::shrug::

I used to like him more - he`s gotten a bit `my ex-wife slept with my step-father and she`s now dating my brother and we`re all bunch of alcoholics`-ish for my liking.

It depends on what his show about...I just watch it sometimes. But part of the time I like what he says, and the other part...I don`t really agree with him.

I love Dr.Phil watch him all the time. But sometimes I feel like he doesn`t listen and cuts them off and only wants to make a good tv show.

Dr. Phil rocks! He`s the only reason I ever watched Oprah. Thank goodness he finally has his own show, now I don`t have to listen to Oprah`s fakeness.

Im confused why you asked this here... and the last tchoice i definatly wouldnt have included..do you want ppl to put you down? because they will... just because they know they can do it without you knowing who did it... I picked the insightful man one because he helps ALOT of people... and I absolutly agree with him most of the time... There are times when he is strict but the job he has... he has learned that you have to be strict in some situations...thats why he is always strict at the beginning of the show and then once he gets the feel for people he is nicer.
