I often use knicknames but when I`m really tired or in a hurry I just point at something and call it a `thingy.` Like `can you turn the thingy off`, and I`ll be pointing to the fan...lol!

I don`t like the term `clicker`, because it doesn`t click. At least, I`ve never had one that actually clicks. That would be very annoying.

I know some people call the remote a clicker or tv changer. I was just wondering other knicknames for items.
