Name-poll poll What is your families sleep scenario? I know sleep is a MAJOR topic in families so I thought this might be interesting! I have a three year old, a three month old, a husband, a cat and a dog and a cat and by morning we are all in our bed...and I love it!!

My son is 22 months old... he has NEVER slept in our bed... even as an infant and newborn, he was in his bassinet... I was never in bed with my parents, and from day one, I knew that there was no way I was going to allow my children to sleep with me. He has always had his own bed, and his sister will be the same way... sleeping with us is so foreign for him, that he won`t even lay down to take a nap with us, he wants his own bed! To me... bedtime is me and DH`s time to reconnect and our `alone` time... I have always been completely amazed at the amount of people that allow children to sleep in bed with them until they are older... It would drive me crazy personally... I`m with `sadielady`... I need my (OUR) space :)

Before having my son, it was me, the hubby, two cats and two dogs in the bed! My water actually broke as I was trying to pull the dogs off the bed and out of `my spot`. Now, the baby sleeps in a crib by the bed and the dogs on the floor so that they dont bother the baby when I bring him to bed to nurse. I was cosleeping but I notice Caleb sleeps better and longer when he is in his own crib!

my 9 yr old sleeps in his room. sometimes during a storm ill let him sleep on our floor in our room. My 10 month old sleeps in his crib 90% of the time! tho i did have my youngest sleep in my bed when he was a baby cause he wasn`t a good sleeper as a baby.

I have myself, my husband, my 3 1/2 yr old daughter, a cat and a dog, my husband and i sleep in our bed, my daughter sleeps in her twin bed in her own room, the cat isn`t allowed upstairs so she sleeps on the sewing machine in the laundry room, my dog sleeps in her crate. After the baby comes my daughter will share her room with him and he will sleep in his crib.

Previously, it was me, the husband next to me, and all three cats would sleep on me. Now that I`m close to due and I just toss and turn rather than sleep, I have the bed to myself. After I give birth hopefully all my guys (husband and cats) will come back to bed, and our wee girl will be in a bassinet right next to me. I don`t miss the snoring (from the man), but I do miss the purring (from the cats!)

I always put my baby down to bed in his crib, but when the night feeding came I kept him in bed with me cause I was too lazy/tired to stay up and then put him back in bed.. Then as I quit breastfeeding, he didnt sleep with me.. now he is 18 months and he sleeps all by himself in his crib.. If I put him to bed with me, he just crawls out of bed and plays and gets into stuff.

Well before i had the baby my girls 5,3 would either sleep or end up in bed with my husband and I. Believe it or not I was totally against the kids being in the bed. My husband who was born here but raised in another Country, slept in bed with all his siblings. America calls it the `family bed`, but in almost every culture it the norm. I have come to LOVE it. I wake up in the morning and have my babies laying next to me or an arm over my back . I will admit some nights it get annoyed( kickes or squished), but for the most part I love it. Now since I had the baby I make them sleep in their bed ot they sleep toegther. I do this only b/c I sometimes have the baby in bed with me and they may roll on him and since the baby and I are up on and off all night. I dont want to wake them. I would rec. to ANYONE to co- sleep. I told the DH that now that we are a family of 5 we will really be squished.Since we have a CAL-king thats it we have the biggest bed they make !! My hubby told me that when they get older they will out grow it and I see them starting to be a ` big` girl and not wanting to always sleep. I watch these shows and they talk about how children will want to sleep with you till their 18, I see now they are wrong. My point is I love it and would rec. it to ANY new mom. =) Who does not want to wake up to their childs sweet sleeping face =)

my sons sleep in their own bed and my daughter sleeps on the floor next to my bed during the night and in her bed for naps. My hubby works nights so sometimes I let her sleep in bed w me but she is more comfy on the floor. lol

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
