my daughter`s feet turned purple when she was little and i wondered why, but i realized after awhile that it happened after i held her for a little bit with my arm under her bottom against her legs while she was upright, it turned out I was holding her pretty darn good lol her little legs weren`t getting as much circulation which is why they turned purple, other than that they didn`t.

My sons feet were very purple when I took him to his Dr. apt. It freaked me out too, but the Dr. said a baby can`t regulate his tempreture this young (he was 2 days old, I don`t know how old your little one is), she said when this happens to make sure he`s cozy with his feet covered and his baby cap on. I take his temp. often to make sure he`s not getting over heated as well. Once they can regulate their own temps. better, this should stop happening. How old is your baby?

my sons`s legs were so chubby when he would lay on his belly his feet would turn purple. It freaked me out so bad I brought him to the Dr. a few times and they did blood work and stuff, but it was just his circulation from his chubby legs lol/

hahah this is gonna be real bad advice.. but i do know its normal.. i just dont remeber why lol. When my son was first born his did the exact same thing.. and i asked the health nurse when she came over to visit and she had explained why.. but that was 17 months ago (the reason i cant remeber) but dont worrie if your doctor told you the same thing even without seeing them.. it must be common.
