We love ours. My son didnt really start sitting in it until 4 months, which I thought was the right time. We got ours on the craigslist for $15. I def would not have paid the $50 or whatever it is they want in the stores!

I wouldn`t recommend buying a new one for full price, I got mine off Craigslist for $30, my daughter loved it but they really only use them for a couple months. As for babies not meant to sit up that early your not supposed to use it for a newborn, my daughter used hers from about 4months to 7months, she would be sitting on my lap all day if I let her.

They were recalled because people were leaving children in them on top of tables, etc. Its common sense: Dont leave your child unattended in one. I think if you want to purchase one, get one off Craigslist used or something. I found mine to be kind of useful. Especially when I wanted to feed my son a quick meal without using a highchair. They arent really useful for very long though.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- About 1 million baby seats sold at major U.S. retailers are being recalled after the Consumer Product Safety Commission received 28 reports of serious head injuries, including three skull fractures, after young children fell out of the seats when they were placed on tables./ .........They were recalled b/c people were putting their children on the counter. BUT YES I would recommend it!!!

I believe that there was a recall on them. I saw a sign posted in Target that there was a recall, and later googled it and got confirmation. So no, I wouldn`t recommend getting one.

my pediatrician doesnt recommend them but a lot of moms on here have them. I did a bit of research on them myself and it says that babies arent meant to sit up that early so it can cause problems. I havent tried one so I dont have a personal opinion this is just what I have found... :o) hope it helps...
