It`s stupid. Cupcake-Mary said it perfectly.

MelissaJoanne (1687.5 days ago)
Cupcake Mary said it perfectly. It`s not even grammatically correct. Baby`s daddy, maybe? Baby daddy sounds stupid.

lillyseed (1687.6 days ago)
well that`s what he is. . . . . he`s the `baby`s daddy`

CassandraLee (1688 days ago)
Im with cupcake-mary. Sounds trashy. Sounds like a guest on Maury or Jerry Springer. Or someone completely ignorant. Sounds like someone who thinks its funny or trendy that their child`s father isnt with them. I would never refer to either of my son`s father`s as my baby`s daddy, my baby daddy or anything similar. `My son`s father` sounds much better. "Baby momma" is trashy too. I'd slap the sh*t out of someone who refered to me as anyone's baby momma.

I personally don`t see anything wrong with it, no it`s not formal, and i`ll be like `the father of my child` and people will be like `you mean your baby daddy` and i`m just like ok...same thing just not so informal. baby daddy usually refers to the father as a dead beat. But i don`t see anything actually wrong with the term, it`s not fun and playful, but it`s not `trashy` it`s just informal.

yeah baby`s daddy does sound better lol.

MichelleMc(pink!) (1688.3 days ago)
I dislike the term just because the grammar critic in me screams ``Baby daddy makes no sense! It should be BABY`S daddy!`` lol

i call me boyfriend, and soon to be husband, baby daddy all the time. when i introduced him to my friends i called him my baby daddy. he doesnt mind it and uses it too. i use it playfully, but tell him that after the baby gets here it will just be daddy. and i will call him my hubby after the marrage

taelynnzmommy (1688.5 days ago)
lol. most of the time I hear people use baby daddy they are being silly or mad at their child`s father. I have a friend that has a `baby daddy` and they were never dating or anything they barely spoke to eachother it was rather akward anyhow they only had slept together once in 2007 and she got pregnant by him and she hasnt had a sexual relationship with him since or any type of relationship and he isnt in the childs life he sees the child every once in a blue moon and thats if she brings the baby to his house!too me that is a good use for `baby daddy`

tawnsawyer (1688.5 days ago)
i think its funny to say sometimes. even though i AM still with my boyfriend (we live together) and hes going to be involved in my daughters like 24/7, i think its playful to say `baby daddy`.. sometimes i just call him that cus i think its funny.

I think it`s ignorant

taelynnzmommy (1688.5 days ago)
This was just too see what people had too say not too offend anyone Me and my friends had talked about this and they had very different opinions on it and i thought it would be neat too see what the ladies had too say on here. everyone is going too have a different opinion on it so dont take offense too what you read its just a word its not something too get rowled up about

i don`t think it is all that horrible. i mean, this day and age that is the term a lot of young women are using to show who the other person that helped create the child but i do think that it is a bit trashy seeing as most guys would probably either not be referred to as anything (if they are not involved in the life& pregnancy) or they want to be called a dad or father. but then again like i said, its usually the young teenage moms that use it i think its to try to stay as young as they can. but come on. your having a child, bringing a new life into this world. be a little more mature.

lilmissk (1688.5 days ago)
I was taught that a dad actually created the child, but the father actually raises the child. Or maybe it`s the other way around; I can`t remember exactly right now. No offense to anyone that doesn`t believe that though. I understand why some people wouldn`t want to use that term. That`s just what I was taught so I don`t feel comfortable saying baby daddy or sperm donor.

lisa-82 (1688.6 days ago)
WELL WHEN A `DAD` ISN`T PLAYIN THE ROLL OF `DAD` THEN I DONT THEY DESERVE TO BE CALLED A FATHER OR A DAD! AND I USE BABY-DADDY B/C TO ME THAT MEANS HE`S BASICALLY THE SAME AS SPERM DONOR-I`M JUST NOT BIG ON SAYING SPERM DONOR.

lilmissk (1688.6 days ago)
I`ve never liked that term. I think a man is either the father, or the dad. I don`t like the term sperm donor either.

  1. Bookworms - is anyone reading the new Khaled Hosseini book `And the Mountains Echoed`? I pre-ordered it on kindle which should have arrived today (I haven`t checked yet) but was wondering if anyone would be interested in a group read?
  2. HELP - my 3 year old daughter is developing a phobia to fluff! I feel responsible, I have a ridiculous phobia of bees and wasps - to the point it hinders my ability to enjoy playing out in the garden during the summer, it`s detrimental. My kids have picked up on this and are sh*t scared of bees and wasps, but with my daughter it was soon spiders, then ants and now, tiny black bits of fluff - which she finds all over; on her pillow etc. It`s genuine terror in her face as she screams she can see them moving and they`re `going to get her` or `bite her`. What do I do? She`s old enough to be reasoned with that they don`t move and we pick most of them off before bedtime, but she wakes in the night and starts crying that `The Fluff`s coming...!!` How can I help her? Do you think this is just a phase or do you think it`s worth seeking some sort of external, professional help to nip this in the bud? I HATE the thought of passing on my phobias and anxieties to my children - it`s no way to live to be a constant worrier about things beyond your control and I;ve suffered with anxiety and panick attacks for nearing 6 years now and can`t ever remember just feeling `normal` and `well` - I can`t remember my life before my first panick attack. This is NOT what I want for my children...
  3. On Facebook I saw one of those like pictures, a mom who sent her child to school for days wearing out of style `ugly` clothes because she was bullying another girl about her clothes. Mom`s yourselves, what do you think of this type of punishment?
  4. Can anyone relate? My 4 year old is making all sorts of amazing connections which is great that he`s thinking about the world, but some of his thoughts are quite deep. He`s a natural born worrier (gets that from me!) and I try to protect him from as much as I can but there`s things that can`t be avoided. Ie, ever since Easter, he`s been plagued with fear about getting holes in him like Jesus (he learnt it at Kindy). Well just this evening he came out with `Why do you and Margo (Grandma) have holes in your ears like Jesus? Did you get your ears nailed to a cross?` He`s also obsessed with the fear of death.

  6. I`ve just opened up my facebook newsfeed this morning and there`s a whole bunch of photos of Saturday night antics. First there was one from my 19 year old cousin with her and her friends (looking thrashed out, dirty, bits hanging out of places they shouldn`t and just overall skanky), and another from a friend of mine who is 15 years older on a rare night out with her school friends (who are all mums) who looked gorgeous, fresh, clean, sexy yet classy (let the clothes rather than the skin do the talking - ie you don`t need your ass and boobs hanging out to show off a nice little figure) Is it just me, or are young girls looking thrashier than women in their 20s, 30s and 40s?
  7. Do you or someone you know raise their now school aged child with attachment parenting (baby wearing, never ever allow the baby to cry it out, cosleeping, baby let snacks and feedings, etc) 8f so, how does the school aged child/ren compare to their peers?
