try a cool mist humidifier. dont give any couch medicine since they are so bad for kids especially little babies. maybe some cold water in the bottle. and baby saline for the nose.

My daughter has congestion I asked the doctor she told me a humidifier running at night would help and also try letting a hot shower run for a few minutes shut the door let is steam up and th en go in th bathroom with the door shut and just stay in there for 15 mintues always helped me out good luck

If there`s no fever or any serious symptoms, why does he need to be treated with anything? Let it run it`s course. It helps baby build their immune system. Use a little Vicks and a humidifier at night. Oh, and try using an aspirator to clear his nose.

My daughter gets colds very frequently mostly congestion, the doc always prescribed a medicine called Rondec-DM when she was an infant, now she takes a similar medicine that is a little stronger. They prefer that your baby tough it out, but when she gets congested she chokes on it and vomits, it can last a month without medicine. The Rondec dries it up in a few days.

baby vicks vapor rub- apply it on the chest, back, neck and bottom of the feet- Works wonders! I just use this on my baby last night and his cough/runny nose is gone!

No, you just have to let it go away on it`s own. They say now no cold medicine until 4 years of age. You can use saline nasal spray and maybe the Vick`s vapor stuff. Ask your baby`s Dr.
