Its not my FAVORITE, but for some reason I like the name Benjamin. Im not a fan of common, dime a dozen names. Because of that I dont think I would name him Benjamin.

Our daughter was going to be named Kaylee until we saw how popular it has become in the last few years. I reallllly loved the name but my husband has a very common name (Mike) and he really wanted her to have something more unique so we picked something else.. and it`s funny because the name we gave her I love even more and I am so glad we spent more time name hunting.

Nah, I don`t care about that. What matter is that we love it. :o)

I to am a Jennifer. There were 4 of us in our class. I hated being an excentric with a common cheerleader name. I was at the zoo yesterday. Within 5 minutes I heard 2 parents call for their sons Caden. I heard Jaden COUNTLESS times and a couple of Aidens. My favorite girl names were Isabella and Lily, I was crushed when I saw how popular they were. Ended up having a boy so it didn`t matter.

DH and I haven`t agreed on a name yet but the thought of a super popular one is starting to turn me off. One girl suggested the social security website which gives you the popularity of names over the years. My fav is #1. =( A super unusal name is cool when you`re older but sucsks when you`re a kid. Mine is Jabez Ilanthe... tell me anyone got that one right at school! LOL

Yup! My hubby and I love Jacob, but its been on the top 10 names for years! With my name being Jennifer, I will NEVER intensionally give my kid a common name. We named our other son Noah. If I knew it was becoming so popular, I would`ve never named him that.

  1. I`ve just opened up my facebook newsfeed this morning and there`s a whole bunch of photos of Saturday night antics. First there was one from my 19 year old cousin with her and her friends (looking thrashed out, dirty, bits hanging out of places they shouldn`t and just overall skanky), and another from a friend of mine who is 15 years older on a rare night out with her school friends (who are all mums) who looked gorgeous, fresh, clean, sexy yet classy (let the clothes rather than the skin do the talking - ie you don`t need your ass and boobs hanging out to show off a nice little figure) Is it just me, or are young girls looking thrashier than women in their 20s, 30s and 40s?
  2. Do you or someone you know raise their now school aged child with attachment parenting (baby wearing, never ever allow the baby to cry it out, cosleeping, baby let snacks and feedings, etc) 8f so, how does the school aged child/ren compare to their peers?
  3. You can only have three of the four when buying a house. Which do you sacrifice?
