sweetbaby2comingsoon (1208.8 days ago) As the began to put the epidural in i began having a contraction...it lasted for about a minute...and then i said ok i am sorry, im ready...they laughed and said it was already in. I didnt feel nothing. When your in intense labor..anything feels better than contractions :)
jcurran23 (1209.8 days ago) When you`re in so much pain from contractions that you need an epidural, you can`t feel anything but the pain from the contraction.
lisamarie8503 (1210 days ago) Oh I felt EVERYTHING...I dont know what pressure is to you, but it hurt like hell. Then within 10 mins it all went away because the epi kicked in.
monkeymamma (1210 days ago) I had REALLY bad chills from some medication they gave me so I had a hard time with getting it. I don`t know if it was because I couldn`t get still or it just normally hurts. Make sure you`re still for sure!!
marietta (1210.6 days ago) I don`t remember being numbed first, but by the time the anesthesiologist comes around, you`re fairly overwhelmed and not too into the details. The moment of insertion would be one of those details. I remember being told to lean over the nurse, like a big hug, bending forward somewhat. I remember flinching a bit when the needle went in--I`d have flinched at anything by then. It wasn`t pain exactly, just more excess stimulation, which seems to come from all angles at that point! I remember the nurse telling me to try *not* to flinch so the doc could do his job right back there, and then I remember saying over an over, `Okay, I`m trying, I`m trying...` and then I remember getting the little tube from the IV taped all the way down my back so the needle wouldn`t move and then I lied back and everything was ok for hours and hours and hours.
tamii (1210.6 days ago) after the hard contractions i had been having- i think they could have punched me and i wouldn`t have felt the pain lol. no, but really, i didn`t feel anything but pressure- acutally it was really strange- almost like it tickled or something.
