Dont worry about the dog!! If you really like that name then stick with it. One of our friends dog`s name is the same thing we are naming our daughter and its not biggie.

Mebbe do some more name research? I don`t know how nice it would be to have the same name as a family member`s pet ;D Though it does make me think of indiana jones and the last crusade when his dad announces that the dog`s name was indiana and indiana replied that he loved that dog XD

i would just choose another name completely. i used to like the name dakota for a girl, but then my sister named her dog dakota, and now all i can think of is a DOG when i think of that name! i`m sure your bf doesnt want to get his daughter and sisters dog confused. i like the name Kaylene a lot more then Riley... you should name her Kaylene and come up with a new middle name, because Kaylene is so much more unique and beautiful!
