mommyofsoontobe5 (1205.2 days ago) castor oil didn`t work for me it just made me go to the bathroom alot but the pitocin did work very well I had all 4 of my little ones in 5 hrs or less with 3 or less pushes but if you have it make sure your ready for contractions to hit hard and faster. If you want epi get it before you get your pitocin.. Good Luck!!
juno (1205.9 days ago) Let`s see. I`ve done both, and I suppose I would prefer to do castor oil over pitocin. For me the contractions were hard either way, but naturally contractions slowly build up to the peak which make them easier to manage, and with pitocin my contractions `hit` more suddenly and close to the peak. I do think in general pitocin does speed up labor. But, it really just depends, since each birth is different! I was induced twice and much to my surprise the labors were very, very different. You`re going to do great either way! Good luck to you, and just think, soon you will be holding your beautiful baby!!! xx
