gr8scottswife (1201.5 days ago) Don`t worry about it. Other people will buy you what they like. I wouldn`t register for a single stitch of clothing. That`s one thing you`ll be very blessed with. Register for the big items or items you really need and people might not think of unless they see it on your registry.
angie2008 (1202.3 days ago) If you are planning or it is possible that you may have more children, I would go with neutral. if you are really sure this will be your only child or you know you will be financially able to purchase again if your next child is a boy. Good luck Angie
monica9 (1202.5 days ago) by the way, all of the expensive stuff is neutral incase our next is a boy. her stroller/carseat is hunter green and brown. but all the clothes are pinks and purples!
monica9 (1202.5 days ago) of course, isnt that why we find out the sex....lol!!
STCT (1202.6 days ago) On the big items like the swing and things like that I did neutral. Girly things on everything else.
carleesmom (1202.7 days ago) We bought really girly things because we weren`t planning on having another kid for a really long time anyway, if any at all. We lost our gorgeous Carlee at 37 weeks in April, and I found out I was pregnant again in July. We find out if it is a boy or girl on Thursday...we will have to buy all new things if it is a boy! So I would suggest neutral!
wisfarmgirl (1202.7 days ago) I would recommend registering for neutral things. I know 2 people that were surprised by having a boy instead of a girl in the past year. Also, you`ll be able to use everything again. But most surprising to me when I had my son last year (nd didn`t find out before hand his gender) when he was born and everyone found out we had a boy, they all stopped by with gifts of clothes. I hope that happens for you too! Now, I always buy a second small gift of an outfit for every friend/co-worker baby. It`s so fun! Best wishes!
bethk (1202.7 days ago) My mam was told she was having a girl so bought loads of pink things apart from the colour of the room which was yellow. She had loads of scans too and they all said defo a girl but turns out she was a he and she gave birth to a boy! So always go neutral just to be safe. But then theres no harm in gettin a few pink things? x
*ashley* (1202.7 days ago) I agree with monkeymamma. I am having a girl and I ended up getting a really girly bed set, and bouncer, and just little decorations for the room. I did buy almost everything else gender neutral...my carseat and stroller is blue with brown dots and I thought that could go for either boy or girl.
monkeymamma (1202.7 days ago) Maybe go for the girly things on a few items like the stroller/carseat and bedding. Get neutral swing, bouncer, and playpen. That way you will have a few things for future children, but still have special things for each child.
lisareader (1202.7 days ago) I didn`t find out my baby`s gender so everything I bought was neutral, but the #1 piece of advice I give ALL new parents is to get as much neutral stuff as possible!!!! What if you have a boy next time - do you really want to spend hundreds (or thousands!) of dollars re-buying clothes, blankets, toys, carseats, strollers, pack and plays, etc? Especially the really expensive stuff - getting gender neutral stuff that can be re-used if you have another baby is definitely the smartest way to go (plus I hate to say it, but if everyone knows your baby`s gender, you`re gonna get a ton of pink stuff that you didn`t even register for at all! So if you do want gender-nuetral stuff you should definitely register for it to try to `send a message` to people :-)).
