danni3.5 (1197.1 days ago) I have had four babies and cant drive, therefore i walk EVERYWHERE!!!!!....sometimes to the school and back 3 times a day, which is about 1.5 miles from where i live (wow thats alot, i didn`t realise how much i actually walk,lol)...all my labours have been different, i think it helps to keep active during pregnancy but there are alot more factors to consider when it comes to early and easy labours xxx
Taysmomee07 (1197.1 days ago) I WALKED ALOT DURING MY FIRST PREGNANCY. I WALKED AROUND EVERY MALL THAT I SHOP AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR ABOUT 30MINS EVERY COUPLES OF DAYS AND IT DIDNT HELP FOR ME AT ALL. SHE JUST WASNT READY YET. BUT ITS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. I WALKED AROUND THE MALL WITH A FRIEND AND SHE WENT INTO LABOR THE NEXT DAY.
MY LABOR WAS VERY LONG, 29 HOURS, AND IT WAS PROBABLY BECAUSE I WAS INDUCED. I COULDNT TAKE THE BEING PREGNANT FEELING ANY LONGER. SHE WAS ONLY TWO WEEKS EARLY AND A HEALTHY 7LBS
onesharpefamily (1197.2 days ago) I didnt see an option that fit me so I decided to comment. I exercised a lot during my pregnancy, walking/jogging/eliptical/stationary bike... I ended up having my daughter 5 days late, BUT I had a very easy labor. I didnt even know I was in labor until my water broke. When I got to the hospital I was already 9cm dilated, and I was only in labor for a little over 1 hour. So I definately think exercise helps, but I dont think it determines how easy or fast your labor is.
lindz (1197.2 days ago) I was induced. but baby came nice and easy.. 1 hr of pushing.. i didnt even break a sweat!
juno (1197.3 days ago) My MIL was a labor & delivery nurse for 30 years, she told me walking is one of the best exercises you can do during pregnancy.
bethk (1197.4 days ago) Oh forgot to add I went 3days early! Plenty of sex on top! And walking oh an cleaning helped i think x
bethk (1197.4 days ago) There wasnt an option above for me to choose! I walked round loads and bounced on the birthing ball! I was having a really easy labour and had no pain relief from 3:30am til 7pm! I went into a birthin pool then and baby poo`d inside me and everything went wrong sooo I ended up having a reallll bad labour! But I think if it wasnt for the really hot birthin pool i would have had a easy one!! Plenty of walkin on my tip toes helped me deal with the pain without drugs for a longgg time xx
Kevinsmilfx2 (1197.4 days ago) There are so many variables in labor and delivery. It`s too hard to try and pinpoint one or two things that could possibly help or hurt during that time. Walking is NEVER a bad idea. Does it bring on labor? Some say yes, some say no. Does it really make a difference in delivery date? Again, some will say yes, some will say no. My suggestion is to keep active and gently exercising. It couldn`t hurt! :-D
