Wow after reading everyone elses comments I am shocked. I had 15 stiches both internal and external and I only waited 3 days. It was bruised and I felt it but it didnt stop me.. I say you are ready when you feel ready. If you have a loving partner then Im sure he will understand if you start something that you then feel uncomfortable or realise that you are unable to go through with he will be okay. Just take it easy and see how you go. No pressure hey

my son was 8 weeks early and 4 pounds i had a tiny tear but it didnt need any stitches.. we waited a week... it was just tender from brusing...

I waited six weeks. It felt like it was tearing and still feels like that. My Dr said it`s from my episiotomy, it`s still healing and the scare tissue it thin so he gave me premarin cream.

I had no tears, and we waited the full 6 weeks. I was too scared to try before seeing my doctor and getting released.

You shouldn`t have sex until you stop bleeding red blood from your va-ja-ja. Any sooner than that and you can be introducing infection into your unhealed, open woumb. With our first son we waited 2 1/2 weeks, with our second son it was almost a month. Just make sure you`re not bleeding red, spotting older blood is OK. Gross, but ok. The sight of any kind of blood heebs my husband out so it wasn`t even an option. (Some guys aren`t bothered by it, mine isn`t one of those guys.)
