My daughter was born with silent reflux and was on medication for 6 months until the dr weaned her off it. She is 13 months and I have noticed it has returned, and she is miserable again. I am not sure what causes it, but my specialist did say that if the mother experienced reflux while pregnant, their is every chance the poor baby will develop it.... Just a question for you mums, with the old wives tales, that if u experience heartburn/reflux when u were pregnant, were ure babies born with a full head of hair? My daughter had so much black hair she looked like a rag doll and like nobody owned her...lol.

My son had acid reflux and he also sounded like this, he also has floppy airways which he will grow out of, it caused him to make alot of noise when sleeping. Even when it is just plain acid relux i read they still sound congested.

My son has acid reflux and is on meds. He also always has a rattly sound in his nasal passages- since he was born. The dr. said that acid reflux children often have congestion, but it doesn`t seem like congestion because it`s always just in his nasal passages- never a runny nose. He kinda sounds like a cat purring- but not necessarily rythmic. Did your child have this?
