jenakers (1164 days ago) I have had them and sometimes still do but, I really dislike meds. What has helped me is, when I`m having one I instantly tell myself `you are having an attack`. Like a nightmare you want to wake up from, I will recognise the way I feel and agknowlege it, then I try to think positive happy thoughts, tell myself to calm down. Some days it works better than others. The holidays are worse for me though.
preggomego (1164.4 days ago) i have ppd. they prescribed me paxil....
aliwitbaby (1164.7 days ago) I had severe anxiety until I came to know Christ and now if i get a little anxious, I pray, and it`s all good... Blessings, I know how it is, and I hope you can get ahold of it.
jamie (1164.7 days ago) Yoga has really helped me. I got an at home dvd with Elana Brower that I love. Ive actually grown out of alot of it. Usually my anxiety is higest when there is a problem in my life that I am ignoring, or I feel I cant fix. actually identifying that has helped me accept my anxiety and learn to let it go. I used to be on all kinds of meds and still have a back up bottle Zanyax---I know if I get out of control the zanyax will calm me down w/in a half an hour....I havent touched it in 6 mos+...but just having it there is a security blanket...hot baths, hot showers(I sit on the floor)...a cold washcloth on my forehead if Im having a panic attack...making sure I get plenty of rest( i notice if im not sleeping right it is worse)....
jessberr31 (1165.6 days ago) I have GAD and I`m on a low dose of meds. I went off when I found out I was pg, and it was okay at first, but then I started having BAD tension headaches, gritting my teeth, racing thoughts were back, bad mood swings, and I went back on meds around 22 weeks. Been feeling sooooo much better since! Not one headache and feeling more relaxed now. I`m only on enough to take the edge off since my Dr doesn`t like to Rx them while pg, but it has helped. Hope you feel better soon!

lizakn (1165.9 days ago) I have been suffering from Panic attacks since I was a kid. For years nobody knew what was going on with me...until I was in High School. I am 27 now...and I have had 4 since being pregnant. I didn`t have any with my first pregnancy...but for some reason I have had them with this one.
I went to therapy for about 5 years...and was put on meds..but I never found it helped. The last one I had was when I was 28 weeks & it was pretty bad. I had to go to the Emerg.Room.
I wish I didn`t have them because it scares me so much. Its like I am having a Heartattack or something. Its even more scarey to get them when your pregnant!
Kevinsmilfx2 (1166 days ago) Get a really good therapist and take GABA capsules and B6. That was the only way I overcame my panic and anxiety while I was pregnant. Google GABA and read all about it. IT WORKS!!! But you have to - HAVE TO - take it on an empty stomach for it to be effective.
aprilraine (1166.1 days ago) I have had anxiety since I was a teen. I go somewhere where I can be alone and concentrate and do breathing exercises, kind of like what you do during labour. Sometimes it takes 10-15 minutes to calm down, but it works. I started doing yoga years ago and it has decreased my attacks dramatically. Massage therapy, yoga, breathing exersises and aromatherapy are known to help with anxiety attacks and there are natural herbs and vitamins that help if you dont want to take medications. You may even just have a calcium, magnesium, or vitamin b or d deficiency. I hope this helps!
