CassandraLee (1165.6 days ago) No, because my guy has always been a really well behaved baby. He`s 13mo. old now and will still sit for long periods of time without fussing. I think if your baby is able to sleep or play quietly there`s no need to bring them to the nursery or leave them home. Every baby is different. If your baby wasnt part of the `distraction` then I wouldnt put her in the nursery. I totally understand not wanting to leave your young baby in the care of a stranger.
EvaV (1165.6 days ago) Thank-you for making me feel better about being a little bit heated. I was just kind of embarassed about it- like I was doing something wrong for having my baby in church with me.
My5Babies:) (1165.6 days ago) Our eldest 3 go in the nursery about half way through church. They are 2,6 and 8. My 4 month old absolutly does not go in there. Why should there be an issue. I can`t believe your pastor would say that. I am sure you weren`t the only one offended. I leave during the service every week to go nurse mine and come back in when finished. I would be offended too, you are not off base.....
EvaV (1165.6 days ago) Was in church today with my 3 month old (who was very quiet, until she got hungry, at which point I promptly left to nurse her in the ladies room). There were quite a few babies in church, who were a little bit fussy and my husband told me that while I was out nursing the baby, in the middle of the sermon, the pastor made a comment about how he was distracted and that the church had a wonderful nursery (keep in mind this is a large church). I was a little bit offended by this. I would have no problems leaving Anna in the nursery if she was 2 years old but right now she does not take a bottle (and undoubtedly gets hungry during church), and as a first time mom, I am not entirely comfortable leaving her with someone I don`t really know who has to take care of 10 other infants who may or may not be sick. Please correct me if I am being off-base here!
