shelly32 (1162.9 days ago) I would try and have playdates if possible more so for sharing purposes and learning that it`s ok to not have to play with mommy all day. My son is now 13 months and I just started watchign my sisters son who is now 16 months, three months ago and at first there was a lot of fighting over toys and now they play great together. Actually he is worse when my nephew isn`t here because he wants me to sit and play onthe floor 24/7!!
aprilraine (1163 days ago) I tried going to a mom and tot play group in my area, twice. both times all the kids did were scream, hit, take toys from each other, pull hair, etc. my daughter didn`t even want to get off my lap, so I figured I wouldn`t push her to do something she didn`t want to and I didn`t go back. I`m sure they aren`t that bad in other places, but I was horrified! She plays well with her cousin and a few other little kids around her age here, so it doesn`t worry me.
KarenBG (1163.5 days ago) I don`t think you have to worry when they`re that young, closer to 2 is the age for peer social skills to be emerging (and only emerging at that). This little, adults provide adequate socialization.
emy (1163.6 days ago) My son will be one and has never had to go to child care or really have a sitter for that matter, we live hundreds of miles from friends and family, and I def think it hurts him a bit. but it could just be the age. Sometimes I get discouraged
Stay@HomeZOOkeepa (1163.6 days ago) I work out with a daycare there...very fun. Also I started pre school at 30 months old...and my daughter loves it. At our local mall there is an indoor playground I go to..shop, exercise, and socialize! A lot of my friends also have kids my and it makes it fun and easy to go and meet more mommies.
busymommyof3 (1163.6 days ago) I worried a little w/ my 1st born, but now that I have 3 I dont worry @ all. Preschool is where they really learn =) so dont worry.
arkansastechmommy (1163.7 days ago) Kevins- haha, that`s funny. I was wondering why those were options for your poll, they didn`t really go. lol...
Kevinsmilfx2 (1163.7 days ago) Umm...someone else`s poll selections are in my poll. ??????? Mine are the first 3 choices. Not sure where the other answers came from, but they sound very angry, lol.
arkansastechmommy (1163.7 days ago) This is the exact reason me & my husband are planning on leaving our son in daycare, even though my school semester is over & I don`t work. He LOVES it @ daycare, and it has really helped him to open up alot.
missyv28 (pink) (1163.7 days ago) I don`t know what the heck happened but I posted a poll and your poll has the last 4 anwsers to my poll but my poll is nowhere to be found haha...computer glich I guess
res (1163.7 days ago) I send my baby to daycare a couple times a week for that reason. She loves it there.
