busymommyof3 (1163.2 days ago) I agree with Arkansastech. I was pissed off, but happy I did not spend the money. MY 5 yo daughter wanted a John Deer Gator(yes a JD GATOR and not barbie, when she was 3 ) and i was going to buy it but MIL offered so Hey, saved me money!! =)

missyv28 (pink) (1163.3 days ago) haha that`s exactly what it was too, a power wheel...the only good thing is that she watches him 3 days a week so she could just leave it at her house and we still get one...but it was the thought and disrespect I thought on my part but I know she wouldn`t do it intentionally (at least I hope not haha). Another thing is I wanted a Cars version power wheel and she got him more of a ATV looking power wheel...
PrOuDaRmYwIfE (1163.3 days ago) If I had already purchased it, I would probably be a little ticked off but I would just return mine and be excited to buy something else that might even be more fun then what you originally had in mind :-) Don`t sweat it. In the end its all about your son being happy and im sure he will be :-)
arkansastechmommy (1163.3 days ago) Personally, Initially I would be ticked off!!!! **The EXACT same thing just happened to us!!!!** We planned on getting our `lil boy a power wheels 4wheeler for christmas, and we let EVERYONE know when we decided. His birthday rolled around, and his grandma... WHO HADN`T SEEN HIM IN ALMOST TWO MONTHS (but knew about our plan) got him a power wheels John Deere Gator:( At first, I was TICKED OFF. Yeah, we could have still bought him the 4wheeler for christmas, but what would a 2 year old do with two power wheels at our house??? Waste of money! After I got over the initial shock, I was kind of happy to save the $200+!! Very annoying/disrespectful in my opinion, but it actually saved us alot of money. So... I guess there is a couple of different ways to look at it!
