Your baby should gain 1/2 pound each week now so if you go to week 40 thats 2 more pounds. I measured small for dates with my last and they were so worried they took him at 38 weeks, he ended up being 6 lbs which is a healthy size..don`t stress!!

I have found out through my last pregnancy that ultrasounds are often off. I was told my son was under 7 pounds almost 7. He was born at 8lbs 9oz. You just never know!!

My baby at 37 weeks was 4lb 15oz and when she was born at 39 weeks was 6lb 13oz. Ultrasounds can be off by a lb either way toward the end. all during pregnancy, she was in the 10%tile, or so the doctor said. She is currently 5 months old and 15lbs....I`m sure your baby will be around 6.5-7.5 lbs.

when i was 35 weeks they tld me my baby was 4lb i had him full term at 7lb 9oz

I heard that babies gain approx 1/2 lb in the last weeks of pregnancy, so if this is true then you`re baby will gain approx 2 lb by the time you`re 40 wks, making the weight about 6lb 4oz. Not sure if this entirely true but they gain most of their weight in the last weeks.

Your baby should put on about an oz a day from this point on. So it will be just fine. Plus the dr can only give you an estimate on how much the baby weights right now, they aren`t always accurate. Mine dr told me with my first I was going to have a 8-9lb baby she was only 6lbs 14oz way off lol...
