michelle (1152.7 days ago) Yes ive done it and it has worked with two of my babies(my other was bottlefed)..
lisareader (1153.6 days ago) This absolutely, 100% works - for eyes, noses, and ears! Both my doctor and the Baby Book by Dr. Sears recommended doing this. Breastmilk contains incredibly potent antibodies that can clear up infections (that`s why BF babies get sick less). I highly recommend it.
kirra82 (1154.8 days ago) It definitely works, Katie had a blocked tear duct and first I tried saline (salt water) and it didnt do much and then I put a few drops of bmilk a couple of times and it cleared up...
Lookalike (1154.8 days ago) Maybe you should repost the poll to see if the same thing happens again. I don`t know why someone would do that but I have been known to have voted several times simply because my computer is slow and I would press the vote button a million times in frustration and wound up voting as many times by accident or adding the same post many times over.

MelissaJoanne (1154.9 days ago) I`ve done it, it works. How sad that one person found the need to vote so many times.
~amy~ (1155 days ago) I have heard that it works but haven`t had Joel yet.. so I wouldn`t know!
megandgrace (1155 days ago) Grace used to get pink eye a lot from a clogged tear duct, i would do the breast milk at first signs of pink eye and it would help, or if she already had an infection i would do it because it seemed to relieve the reddness and irriation better than the percrisption drops would!
3rdtimemama80 (1155.1 days ago) I heard this works if the baby has a blocked tear duct...not sure about an actual infection. My LO has a blocked duct and I just might try this! I`ll let you know if it works or not~
cadesmommy (1155.1 days ago) I never tried it in my child`s eye(he never had an eye infection) but when my son was first born he cut himself with his fingernails and his pediatrician told me to put breast milk over the cut to help heal it. After his pediatrician told me that I started using breast milk for even my own cuts if I ever cut myself :)
sweetnsmokin (1155.1 days ago) my roommate did it to her son. the dr told her to as she would not go to the pharmacy. shes very impatient and overly cautious about things that are not 100% organic/natural. she refused to put chemicals into his eye. but it worked anyway. whats even stranger, my cat had an eye infection a few days later, and she put the milk in its eye too. believe it or not, it worked. its just like kater said, it has antibodies that fight infection.
Holly28 (1155.4 days ago) talk to a woman on this site called Floridamom she did this when she had pink eye and it worked wonders
CassandraLee (1155.4 days ago) Ive never done this, but its one of the oldest tricks on the book. Mothers have been doing this for many years. I`ve always heard that it works. The child could have an infection or a clogged tear duct and I dont know that it would work for both.
