jenny504 (1138.9 days ago) Mine are 4 years apart, i wanted to be able to have time and energy to give them when they are babies and toddlers and to be able to enjot them.
RobinG (1138.9 days ago) My first are 4.5 years apart and last 8 years. I LOVE the spread. I think 4 years is perfect. So much easier in many ways when one is in school or about to be. More one on one with each child. I know so many moms with kids close who complain how hard it is yet none who complain they are to far apart.
lizakn (1139 days ago) Well my daughter is 3 1/2 yrs old...and I am pregnant {well overdue haha} with our 2nd. I think its a great age gap {3-4 years} because at 3 & 4 they are independent & don`t need us as much. My daughter gets up & gets her breakfast, turns on the TV, puts in DVDs,cleans her room, dresses herself...so when the baby does finally arrive I won`t have to do that stuff for her. Plus Makenah{thats my daughter} will be such a HUGE help! She already acts like a little mother, telling my husband to take off his shoes & not to make a mess in the kitchen haha!
So I think a 3-4 year age gap is good. Plus you get so much more time alone with your first child before bringing another one in the house.
But everyone is different...my sister & I are 22 months apart...and my mom said it was a great age gap because I was also an independent kid, and she didn`t have to tote on me all the time.
arkansastechmommy (1139.1 days ago) We were aiming for 30 months apart... We started TTC a few months before, We figured it would take a few months to conceive.... WRONG! It happened the 1st month! Our kids will be 27 months apart! Close enough though!
carla81 (1139.1 days ago) I always wanted about a 2 yr gap, but now I`m thinking more 2.5. Kyan is almost 15 months and although he`s the light of my life and so much fun, he`s a lot of work at this age and the thought of being pregnant right now or close to having another baby...no way! I definitely want him to be a litte older, toilet training and communicating in sentences at least a little.
