I personally love the number 13, we chose it as our wedding date and the date for our son to be born (c-section) so the number has special meaning for us. Bt when it comes to being induced I`d wait as long as possible.

If your induction date is the 13th it doesn`t mean that is when he will for sure arrive. I was induced at 38 weeks and from start to finish it was 36 hours. Also I just wanted to say I had a great labor experience and I had heard over and over how hard an induction would be how ever I had no issues. I agree with what everyone else seems to be saying if there is no medical reason then you should hold off. Good Luck ;o)

I would wait until the 20th!! I watched a show that said even 1 day could make a difference in the rest of your babies life, and whether or not they could develop certain conditions! At the same time I know how much waiting sucks, but it will be worth it in the long run!

Why are you being induced? Is it a medical reason? If not, I would wait. Babies will be born when they are ready. I have heard that induced contractions are a lot more painful because you are asking your body to perform something that it wasn`t quite ready for. I have never had to be induced although my doctor discussed it with me with my last since I was 6 days late. I know that he is already thinking about it for this one because my last 2 babies were over 10 lbs. I will try to avoid it if possible, I don`t need contractions to be worse than they already are!!!

I read an article yesterday that said even one week longer in the womb, although baby is completely viable, is better for their little lungs and body functions.

I agree if you can wait then do that instead. My daughter was 6 days over due and that`s because I was induced, if I could do it over again I would just wait and have had her come on her own. But of course I was super anxious to see my babygirl. Which I`m sure you are just dying to see your baby as well.

Well, I voted 20th b/c of Grandpa`s birthday BUT I`m having my baby on the 13th via second c section. Lucky 13!! And a friday the 13th b day could be made to be fun.
