I didn`t hear about this..must be in America..but I don`t think you should remove a child from it`s parents purely on a name choice..after all it is just a name..some letters on a piece of paper..I do think it is a very bad name choice though..and they should be made to change it..also to be watched closely..but if the child is not in any danger then they should leave them with there parents..

There must be more to this but would that surprise you given that name. What kind of parent's would do such a thing. As Danielle said, hardly the ideals of a good parent. Poor kid.

There HAS to be more of a reason than the names that actually places the children in danger if they stay with their parents, as Holly28 said. There is NO WAY that was why they were taken.

I have worked in Child Protection. I am very confident that there is more to this story than has been released. There are strict guidelines as to what does and doesn`t justify removing a child from the home.

I believe there is more to this story than is being released. Often, if there is abuse involved, the police will not release the details until the case is heard in court and a prosecutor agrees to try the case, for fear of libel. Tho I must wonder what sadistic tendencies these parents must harbor.

Where I live here in Quebec, the state can reject a name and it has done. If they find the name unacceptable they will force the parents to choose one that they do find acceptable. On the other hand one has to wonder how parents who name their child Adolph Hilter will raise this child. Can you imagine their life philosophy??

Yes I heard about the child being named Adolf Hitler. He has an older sister named Arien Nation. However, I believe they were taken away for reasons more than their names...

dang at first i didnt know what the crap you were talking about, i thought it must have been a typo or something...but i read the comments. WHO...IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would name their child Adolf Hitler? they must be wacko`s. but i dont think the child should be taken away...

I think the state should legally force them to change a name like that, yes. A child will be victimized his entire life for something like that! I also think that the parents should be watched closely, but everyone should be given a chance to become a parent. It`s disgusting what they did, but the child is not being abused, from what we can see.

It`s none of their business what people name their children. Their jobs are to protect children from abusive situations or any other situations that are harmful. But shame on the parents for choosing names like that.

That is a severely poor choice of a name, but that is not grounds for government involvement.

This a yes or no, it has lots of gray areas to it..it is a `depends on the name` answer ~ since I know the one you may be referring to I`d say yes ~ makes me sick they named their child that. Although they claim that isnt the reason they were removed.

I read the news about the little boy being removed from his home because his parents named him Adolf Hitler...I don`t care for the name but all three of my kids have bible names...is there coming a day where they could be taken??? ummm very disturbing to me....
