jenl645 (1115.8 days ago) I gave my son one when he was a month old. It calms his down before bed. The pediatrician said babies have non-nutrative sucking neds
3blessings (1116.9 days ago) My daughter used one for the first week, then ditched it for her thumb. She shows no iterest in it 10 months later....and still sucks her thumb occasionally
RowanSkysMom (1116.9 days ago) My daughter never took one. I don`t think there`s any harm in it though..
armymom (1116.9 days ago) Babies aren`t stupid.. they`ll either suck their thumbs or a paci.. and BOTH cause ortho issues. Might as well go with the paci since you can eventually take it away.
armymom (1116.9 days ago) My son only takes his when he`s going down for naps or bedtime. He spits it out sometime throughout his sleep but it helps him fall asleep.
Lookalike (1116.9 days ago) I`ve heard that baby may need braces later on if they keep the pacifier past so many months... I`m going to try not to use one at all but we will see because every kid is different.
hotpotaaaaato (1117.3 days ago) we were heading to church one day, where we had to bring our 7 month old in with us... I tried throwing a paci in her mouth to keep her quiet (she had not touched one before then) and IT NEVER CAME OUT! Oh, so stupid. We got rid of it right before her second birthday, and that was HARD TO DO. My 3 month old wants nothing to do with a paci, so we will NOT be doing that again.
lemonysickness (1117.4 days ago) We were going to give our little one a paci for SIDS and take it away at the recommended 4-6 month area, but she refuses it anyway so she decided for us lol.
STCT (1117.4 days ago) My daughter will not take one. She sometimes sucks on her hands.
emi (1117.5 days ago) As a new born cos she wanted to suck .. ie it stopped her crying so mummy could get some sleep :) She`s 4 months now and we try to only use it when she`s going to sleep.
megandgrace (1117.5 days ago) I gave Grace one while we were still in the hospital because all she wanted to do was suck and my boobs had enough!! She still at almost 13 months loves her binkies, so i am going to have a hard time when it comes time to take it away!!! And i never had a problem with nipple confusion at all, she was breast fed exclusively for over a year!
