jinx-marcell (1098.3 days ago) Tyler is a great name for a child, and maybe by the time he`s old enough to see himself as an adult, he`ll decide to call himself remington. Keep in mind, names have been changing a lot and will continue to over time, so it`s very possible Tyler might be seen as a responsible, mature type of name 20 or 30 years from now,
~amy~ (1110.9 days ago) I like Aysiana`s idea.. Remy is cute!!
kelly5150rn (1111.2 days ago) He will probably prefer ty when he`s older. You also have to remember when our kids are grown there are going to be a lot of people with names like that!
Jacq98 (1111.4 days ago) tyler is so popular and remi would be a great nick name- just reading it- i am gonna suggest it to my sisters- very nice name!
Amalthea (1111.6 days ago) Ty is nice... Remi is nice nn too
StaceyL (1111.6 days ago) My brother is Tyler as well --- 34 years old. He goes by Ty which works for him.
sarahanne (1111.6 days ago) To me, Remington doesn`t sound like a first name; plus I just don`t think it`s all that easy to say. My son`s name is Spencer and everyone calls him Bubba, so everyone`s right about the nickname thing especially when it comes to boys! Goodluck.
monkeymamma (1111.7 days ago) My brother is Tyler, he`s only 22 but that`s his name so it fits. There`s also the actor Tyler Perry and he`s around that age.
angie2008 (1111.7 days ago) Wait until he is born and let him develop his nickname. I don`t think Tyler is not just a baby name.
MommaCase (1111.7 days ago) I`m addind Thomas to my sons name for DH, so I hear you.
MommaCase (1111.7 days ago) I was going to name my kiddo Remmington and call him Remmy or Remo. I did the yelling it out the back door test the other day, and just decided I didn`t like it as much as I thought. I like Preston better.
On the Tyler deal, people are going to call him whatever they want. No one little has really ever been able to say my name, so they just called me sissy, so much so, that was listed as my name in my kindy yearbook. Very rare for anyone to call me Sissy as my name anymore. I wouldn`t worry about what he will be called when he is 40. I`m sure he will decide.
emily1019 (1111.7 days ago) Here Tyler is soooo common of a name. I really don`t like it period but I am incorporating it for my Dear Husband!
emily1019 (1111.7 days ago) I was thinking about Preston too...Preston Tyler?
Aysiana (1111.7 days ago) Why not just do it the other way around and name him Remington Tyler? I think Remington is a whole lot more original of a name than Tyler is. Then you could call him Remy for short!
RobinG (1111.7 days ago) I dont view Tyler at all as just a little boys name ~ I DO love Ty though but feel you are fine either way AND most important he IS a little boy for many years ~ you dont have to start the nick name now til he is MUCH older. My older boys are Daniel and Stephen ~ I still call them that and thier friends call them Dan and Steve ~ the shortened version comes with age ~ My hubby is Daniel as well all his bros call him Danny and he is about to be 43, lol.
