Pregnancy-poll poll Pregnancy issues...PLEASE leave your story!! I`m 5 weeks pregnant (originally thought I was 8 but an u/s confirmed I`m only 5) I spotted last weekend and my doc said not to worry that it is normal. This weekend, starting Saturday, I`ve been actually bleeding. Not a lot but enough to think I was on my period if I didnt know I`m pregnant. I have a panty liner on and it`s enough blood that it looks like a period but not heavy and is starting to tapper off. I`m wating on a call from my doc to see what I should do but I want to hear other peoples stories about bleeding in the first tri. What happened?

I had bleeding through my whole first tri. due to a fiborid. They found it through an U/S. It stopped near the very beginning of my second tri.

My doctor told me that if it`s brown it`s ok but if it`s pink or red to go to the doctor. It is posible to still have periods though - my friend got preiods for the first 3 months.

before i knew i was pregnant, at about 5 weeks i had EXTREMELY heavy, bright red and clotty bleeding. I mean soaking through a pad in less than an hour. The doctors said i was miscarrying (and i didnt even know yet) because there was no way i could bleed like that and still be pregnant. needless to say i was deffinitly pregnant and my daughter is now almost 4 months old. I`ll never really know why i bled like that since i didnt know i was pregnant at the time, the doctor thinks i could have lost a second baby possibly or it could have juts been one of those things. but it IS possible to bleed more than just a spot or two and still have a healthy baby. I never had even a spot after that.

My mother had her usual periods through the whole of her pregnancy with my lil brother! She then had a blood hemirage which they thought might have been a twin to my bro??

Melissa Joanne I wanna hear that story!

Before I realized I was pregnant I had what I thought was my period, but it only lasted about 3 days. I took a PG test a few days later, since my `period` was only 3 days, not my usual 5. I bled a couple times in week 5 and week 6. I also bled somewhat heavily after every internal exam while pregnant. I never had any complications, and my daughter is happy and healthy. I have a friend that had her period through her entire pregnancy (she actually didn`t know she was pregnant until she delivered, but that`s another story unto itself!). So don`t worry!! First trimester bleeding is common as your body stretches to accommodate a new person living in there.

You can be pregnant and still have a period. It`s rare but it does happen. The flow will be a lot less than your regular flow. That might be it. I knew a lady that had been pregnant for six months and didn`t know because she was still getting her period every month right on time just very light and she felt sick but still didn`t know!

  1. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  2. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  3. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  4. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  5. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  6. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  7. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  8. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  9. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
  10. MODS ~ please help me in monitoring the photo pages and other pages. Horrific porn was posted in photos sections and they need to be deleted as soon as they are seen. I reported it to Laura also. TX!!
